On Thursday, I was able to attend the launch party for RoseBox which is set to be the first beauty subscription box catering for women with kinky, curly and highly textured hair in the UK. For those of you that might not be familiar with the concept of a subscription box, a subscription box is a service which typically sends you items on a periodic basis this could be daily, weekly or monthly for a monthly or one-off charge. However most beauty subscription box tend to be a monthly service.

Although, there are a few beauty boxes catering to kinks and curls in America including CurlKit and CurlBox and general beauty boxes catering to women of colour such as My Shade of Brown - the growing trend of "beauty-by-mail" has been quite so inclusive in the UK. Enter the rose behind RoseBox, Rose Akoko who created this box service not only to fill a gap in the market but to help women with textured hair find products they like without having to spend an arm and a leg and without tiring themselves out.

The box it self is set to launch on the 22nd of November and will include approximately 5 products with at least one full size products (no sachets). These products will mainly be haircare products however there will be the inclusion of some skincare products, accessories and make-up. The RoseBox will come with a mini magazine which will expand on the some of the same topics and they are looking to release specialised boxes for Loced hair and childrens hair.

RoseBox will include brands such as Giovanni, Curls, Miss Jessies, Shea Moisture, Design Essentials, Naturally Simple and variety of UK brands and much much more...

The first RoseBox will be available for the first 50 that subscribe and later on to more people as the company grows to be more able to process larger amounts of orders.

Check out Kickin' It With The Kinks video on the event....

I'm looking forward to seeing the first RoseBox! Will you be signing up?
